I bought this tent with high hopes, under the impression that as it was US made, it would be higher quality.
While it does self erect as promised, the erection is semi flaccid, with the fabric slightly loose on the frame. You can tighten it up some by staking it out. While it is claimed this tent will sleep two people, "two munchkins" might be more accurate. I am 5'6', a small person, and once I was in the tent, there was barely enuf space to stretch full length. The "rain cap" prevented any water from entering the roof mesh during a heavy rain, but because it is not a full fly, water did leak in the door and window mesh. Which means when it rains, you have to close the tent up totally to stay dry . In summer, you will be steamed.
I could live with all that and make no comment, except for the worst part, now to come. Folding up this tent is a nightmare. There are instructions to do so sewed on the inside of the case, in letters so small that you need a magnifier to read them . But even once you read them, they do not allow you to fold the damn thing up.
Between us, my friend and I have 2 masters degrees. I am a GM Certified mechanic and a watchmaker. With repeated reference to the online video, it took us 2 hours to get this tent folded. It was lucky we set it up on the lawn, so we had internet access. So remember to bring your laptop with you when you go camping, cuz you will definitely need the video to get even a hint how to make this fold.
In addition, you can't use this gizmo for any camping except out of the car. Folded down it's too big to rig on a pack, and will be awkward on narrow trails or in the bush.
Overall, I rate this at 37%. I would have done better to buy a crappy Coleman dome tent made in China, for a third the money.
By the way, there is no country of origin listed on the tent or package, so it may be made overseas, despite the websites implication that it is USA made.
